Vice Campionessa nella scorsa stagione, Natalia Rivera inizia nel migliore dei modi la stagione 2024 con una vittoria nella inaugurale a Misano lo scorso 05-07 aprile. Abbiamo avuto modo di intervistarla brevemente in attesa della prossima tappa nel rinnovato circuito di Cremona a inizio giugno , 07-09 giugno.
WH: Ciao Natalia, la prima gara di Misano è stata per te la prima vittoria della stagione, raccontacelo.
N: Sì, la verità è che è stato molto apprezzato sia da me che dal mio team, grazie a tutto il lavoro che c’è dietro. All’inizio del fine settimana abbiamo avuto qualche problema ma siamo riusciti comunque ad essere veloci e a vincere.
WH: L’anno scorso ti sei classificata seconda in campionato, come vedi la stagione 2024? Cosa puoi migliorare per raggiungere l’obiettivo della vittoria?
N.: Si, quest’anno ho più esperienza nei circuiti, perché l’anno scorso non conoscevo nulla del calendario. Anche così, non c’è bisogno di rilassarsi perché ci sono rivali molto veloci. Per ora proseguire come adesso, allenandomi con pazienza e testa.
WH: Raccontaci come è nata la tua passione per questo mondo e come è iniziata la tua carriera.
N: Quando ero piccolo guardavo le gare in TV con mio padre e mi piacevano così tanto che ho iniziato a voler correre. Grazie a me mi hanno portato la mia prima minimoto e da lì!
WH: Quale gara ti sta a cuore e qual è il tuo circuito preferito?
N: L’anno scorso la Superfinale Yamaha BLU CRU è stata spettacolare in quel fine settimana del campionato del mondo. Ho ottenuto il 2° posto e i tifosi erano incredibili. Il mio circuito preferito è il Mugello.
WH: Cosa ne pensi dei passi intrapresi a sostegno delle donne nel mondo delle due ruote?
N: Sembra un grande passo perché viene fatto ad alto livello.
WH: Facciamo un’istantanea di adesso, qual è il tuo risultato più grande e qual è il tuo sogno da realizzare?
N: Il mio risultato più grande è stato il secondo posto europeo dello scorso anno, ma a livello di soddisfazione il podio di Portimao è stato incredibile.
Natalia non da’ risposta in merito al sogno da realizzare, ma in questa stagione ci sono grandi aspettative e possibilità, di sicuro è lei la rider da battere. Quest’anno sicuramente arriva più pronta al campionato e i frutti si stanno già vedendo, le rivali sono agguerrite e vedremo grande bagarre.

N.: Yes, this year I have more experience in the circuits, because last year I did not know any of the calendar. Even so, there is no need to relax because there are very fast rivals. For now continue as now, training and with patience and head.
WH: Tell us how your passion for this world was born and how your career began.
N: When I was little I watched the races on TV with my father, and I liked it so much that I started wanting to ride. Because of me, they brought me my first minibike and from there!
WH: What race is close to your heart and what is your favorite circuit?
N: Last year the Yamaha bLU cRU Superfinale was spectacular that weekend at the world championship. I got 2nd place and the fans were incredible. My favorite circuit is Mugello.
WH: What do you think of the steps being taken to support women in the world of two wheels?
N: It seems like a big step since it is being taken at a high level.
WH: Let’s take a snapshot of now, what is your greatest achievement and what is your dream to achieve?
Natalia doesn’t give an answer regarding the dream to be realized, but this season there are great expectations and possibilities, she is certainly the rider to beat. This year she certainly arrives more ready for the championship and the fruits are already being seen, the rivals are fierce and we will see great brawl.
